It’s finally here! The Editorial Preset Kit contains 7 unique color grading presets for Adobe Lightroom Classic, CC, and Mobile plus one bonus preset from an upcoming bundle. These 7 presets are base color grades that I use for much of my color photography work. I have used and tweaked this kit over the last 3 years and find it covers a wide spectrum of applications, lighting situations, skin tones, and environments. Each preset is intended to be a starting point and allow for further tweaking to suit your specific needs. Editorial Preset Kit #1 is best used with RAW files and will work with any camera, though they have been built around my own Leica and Fujifilm files.
Adobe Lightroom Classic (Creative Cloud 2022)
Start by unzipping the Editorial Kit file downloaded from here after you’ve spent the best $20 of your life. Open Adobe Lightroom Classic and navigate to the Develop module. In the left panel navigate to the Presets window and click the “+” icon in the upper right corner. Click “Import Presets”, navigate to the destination you unzipped the original file to, select all 8 .xmp files, and click import. Bang boom bam, you’re ready to rock.
Adobe Lightroom CC
Nearly the same process as above, the buttons are just in different places. Start by unzipping your Editorial Kit file. Open Lightroom CC. Navigate to the “Edit” icon in the upper right corner of the screen (alternatively; just press “E” on your keyboard). Click “Presets” under the word “edit” and click the “…” icon. Click “Import Presets”. Navigate to the folder where you unzipped your shiny new preset pack, select all 8 .xmp files, and press import. Bingo. You’re set. This process automatically and instantly imports these presets to Lightroom Mobile on any device where you are signed into the Adobe Creative Cloud.
